Acupuncture Services for Regulating Your Body’s Function

We have a team of doctors at Minser Chiropractic that are certified in acupuncture. Acupuncture is based on the theory that there is an energy that flows through the body along meridians or channels. The energy is called Qi and flows along 12 main channels throughout the body. These channels form a network connecting the superficial and interior portions of the human body, regulating the function of the whole body. It is believed that when the energy is not flowing correctly along these meridians or channels disease develops. In acupuncture, it is believed that the mind, body, and environment are all intimately connected and an imbalance in any one of these areas can also upset the balance of Qi in the body. Acupuncture uses small, disposable needles, inserted at specific points along these channels to help restore proper energy flow to the body.

Common conditions that respond well to acupuncture include:

  • Infertility/Menstrual regulation and/or pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Tinnitus
  • Nausea with pregnancy and labor preparation
  • Sjogren’s
  • Sinus infections
  • Asthma
  • Headaches
  • Anxiety/Stress
  • Many more!

Microneedling & Macroneedling

DON’T WAIT • MAINTAIN YOUR GLOW •  ENHANCE YOURSELF • BE PROACTIVE

Microneedling Therapy, also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), and Percutaneous (through the skin) Collagen Induction (PCI), is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of the Aculift Needle Pen.

The mechanical action of the pen allows the needles to puncture the skin and create a controlled injury at a specific depth. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body’s natural healing process to fill these micro wounds by producing new collagen and elastin in the papillary dermis. In addition, new capillaries are formed for improved blood supply.

With Microneedling, the top layer of the skin is parted without being damaged, leaving the skin intact. It does not “burn” your skin like peels or more invasive lasers. The needle penetration depth can be adjusted from 0.25mm to 2.50mm into the skin depending on the area of the body and the skin condition being treated. Using skin needling consistently will trigger the body’s repair process until the desired level of skin rejuvenation is achieved.

Microneedling results in the production of new collagen and elastin, improvement in skin tone and texture, firmness as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.

Nanoneedling uses microscopic, hair-like needles to penetrate the top layer of skin, called the epidermis, by separating cells and allowing active ingredients to be delivered. The needles used in this procedure typically only reach the upper 0.15mm of the skin.

Benefits of this treatment include reduced pigmentation, improved skin cell turnover, rejuvenation, and an immediate improvement in the skin’s appearance with no recovery time. This 30 minute treatment can be done on a weekly basis as an exfoliating treatment and is typically used for more sensitive areas and/or skin.
